Here's how to promote your People's Choice contest. 

1. Create a KILLER package that the People's Choice Award winner will receive

While most pageants give the People's Choice winner a guaranteed placement inside of the Top 5, 10, or 15, you can sweeten the deal by having the winner win a trophy or donated prizes from your sponsors! In our experience, though, guaranteeing a contestant's placement is most effective.

2. Run your People's Choice on Pageant Planet

From Miss Africa to a local fair and festival pageant in the United States, the average net profit raised by directors on Pageant Planet is $123.40 per contestant. You will not experience an easier or more profitable solution elsewhere.

3. Find your Contest

You can find your contest link by "clicking here" and following the steps.

4. Promote your Contest on Instagram

Using the below image or one that you created on your own, use the below sample script to promote your contest on Instagram.

Pro Tip: Require your reigning queens to repost on IG. Also, we suggest posting between 6:30 pm - 9 pm your time and using emojis when posting. Emojis have been shown to create higher engagement.

5. Promote your Contest on FaceBook

Using the below image or one that you created on your own, use the below sample script to promote your contest on FaceBook.

Pro Tip: We highly suggest posting between 6:30 pm - 9 pm your time and using emojis when posting. Emojis have been shown to create higher engagement. Also, require your reigning queens to Post/Share on Facebook.

6. Tell Contestants to Claim their Contestant Profile on Pageant Planet

Contestants (and) Directors receive a push notification 30 minutes before People's Choice starts (and ends) if they have the app installed. They will also receive an email alerting them. 

Contestants who manage their own profiles are notified each time someone votes for them. Additionally, they can see who voted for them and how many votes they purchased for them. This is powerful for you because it keeps them engaged with your contest!

7. Email your Contestants

Here's the script we suggest that you use. Feel free to change it around so that it matches your brand voice.

Be sure to share this link on your social media accounts and blogs and send the link directly via messenger & text to encourage family and friends to vote for you! We encourage you to share it regularly leading up to pageant time, and remember that family & friends can vote more than once!

8. Promote Your Contest on Your Website

If you have a website, I recommend placing an announcement on your homepage and linking to your People's Choice contest on Pageant Planet, or you can embed your contest on your site.

You can also insert the below HTML code onto the blog section after you replace the bold sections.

Click <a href="InsertURLToPeoplesChoiceContest">InsertNameofPageant</a> to vote for People's Choice on Pageant Planet.

When done properly, it will show up like the below example,

"Click Miss USA 2021 to vote for People's Choice on Pageant Planet."

9. Promote People's Choice during your Pageant

We recommend that you end your contest one hour before crowning in order to maximize your earnings. During the pageant, ongoing promotion is critical. Be sure to announce the Top 5 contestants with the most People's Choice votes and specify how many votes each contestant has during intermission or at the beginning of each pageant. Your audience will start to get competitive, and you will be able to generate more revenue.

Have the audience visit your Pageant Planet profile to see who is winning in real-time. This way, they can watch for themselves who wins and continue voting during the pageant.
