To activate and set up a People's Choice contest for an inactive event in the pageant system.
Log in to the system and navigate to My Dashboard.
Click on the pageant where you want to activate People's Choice and select Manage.
Scroll down to find the inactive event for the current year and click Manage.
Click on Edit Event Details and ensure all necessary information is correct.
Save the changes and add contestants to the People's Choice contest.
Select the age division and start adding contestants.
Do not add a new event, always select the inactive event to activate People's Choice.
Adjust the end date and time if needed (recommended to end one hour before crowning).
Double-check contestant information to avoid errors in the People's Choice contest.
Pre-selected filters and settings will save time, no need to alter them.
Consider ending the People's Choice contest one hour before crowning for best practices.
Upload contestant headshots promptly after setting up the contest to complete the process efficiently.
The objective of this SOP is to guide you through setting up a People's Choice contest for an event that has not been created yet on the platform.
Log in to the platform and click on "My Dashboard."
Click on "Manage" under the profile for which you want to create the event.
If the "Pageant" option is not highlighted, make sure to select it and then click on "Manage."
If the event you need to create the People's Choice for is not listed, click on "Add Event" instead of editing a historic event.
Fill out the necessary information on the prompted page and click "Save."
The People's Choice contest will be pre-scheduled with all the required settings.
You will be redirected to set up your People's Choice contest, which is automatically scheduled three weeks before the pageant at 5 p.m.
Click an age division to add your contestant's headshots.
Avoid editing historic events to set up the People's Choice contest as it may lead to issues.
Ensure all the necessary information is filled out accurately before saving to prevent errors in the contest setup.
