Lead Credits are credits given to experts (i.e. coaches, photographers, trainers) and pageants based on their package and any additional prepaid leads that they purchased when they signed up for an advertising package.

• Lead credits are used to claim leads.
• Lead credits expire after 90 days and renew every 30 days, regardless if you paid for an annual or monthly advertising package.
• Our software will automatically claim leads on your behalf; to manually claim leads this setting needs to be disabled. 

When contestants visit our site looking for a pageant to compete in or a pageant expert to work with, they fill out a form with their information. That information is then forwarded to the applicable advertisers to reach out to. Don't worry! Leads expire when they have been claimed 10 times or if it has been longer than 90 days since the lead was created.

We allow each lead to be claimed up to 10 times to give the user choices, and because roughly 30% of all claimed leads are never contacted. 

Please note that the following instructions are given on a mobile device. If you're accessing leads from your desktop, your screen will look different in some sections.

Learn more about your Automatic Contestant Recruiting Software 

By default all pageant and expert profiles are automatically opted into the automated contestant outreach program. But, you can opt out of it by following these steps.

How it works:

1. Contestant submits a form to find a pageant, coach, etc. (We refer to this as a lead)
2. Pageant Planet then emails our top 3 suggestions to that contestant.
3. If you are one of the 3 profiles recommended we also claim that lead for you and then notify you via email.

How to Disable Automatic Leads 

• Log in to your Pageant Planet Profile
• Click the person icon on the top right
• Go to "Manage Notifications"
• Toggle off "Contact leads automatically"

How to claim leads

1. Login. 

2. Go to your Dashboard.

If you're a director...

3. Make sure the "View your profile as" is set to "Pageant."  
   - Click "Manage" for the pageant you want to claim the leads for

4. In the black navigation box, select "Recruit Contestants".

Please note: If you're a non-advertiser, every 30 days, the site will redirect you to the "Advertise" section when you click "Potential Contestants."  If that happens, click "Advertise" and select "Potential Contestants" again. 

5. Scroll down to the "Contestants Looking for a Pageant" section to see the contestants list. For a more detailed view of the contestants, you can click on the "eye" icon on the right side. 

6. Select the contestants you want to claim for, add them to the cart, and you can purchase them.  You can also click on the "Pay Now" option from the contestant's details, which will take you to the checkout page. 

Note: If the credits are available in your account, you can claim the leads without purchasing them. If you want to reveal the contact information of a contestant, you can select a contact and then click "Claim Now."

If you're an expert...(i.e. Photographer, Coach, Trainer, HMU)

3. Make sure that the "View your profile as" role is correct.
- Click on the "Profile" dropdown & select "Potential Clients". 

Please note: If you're a non-advertiser, every 30 days the site will redirect you to the "Advertise" section when you click "Potential Contestants". Should that happen, click "Advertise" and then select "Potential Contestants" again. 

Claiming Leads

If you want to reveal the contact information of a contestant, you can select a contact and then click "Claim Now". 

If you want more information about the contact before you choose to claim or purchase it, you can click on the "eye" icon to reveal more details. It will look like this...

After you claim or purchase a contact, their contact record is moved to the "Contact List" tab from the dropdown ( it looks like the below example). You can also export all of your leads onto an Excel spreadsheet by clicking the "Export CSV" button.
