How to Claim Your Child's Profile

Here are the steps to take to claim your child's profile:

1. Search for the contestant's name in the search bar on Pageant Planet. Select the appropriate category from the drop-down menu before starting the search.

Please note that if your child was added to the pageant by the director, you need to search for the pageant's name to find their contestant profile.

2. When you find the profile you want to claim, click on the "Claim This Profile" button on the contestant  profile.

3. If you do not have an account with Pageant Planet, you will have to create one. Please use your child's name for the profile. 

Please note you can only manage one contestant profile at a time. If you currently manage your another child's profile, then you will need to create a new login to claim that profile.  

If you are logged in, you will answer why you want to claim this profile.

4. Admin will be notified that someone is trying to claim the contestant profile. A claim will be approved if the request matches the contestant's name and/or the explanation is valid and verified. If your claim is rejected, you will be emailed an explanation as to why it was rejected.

 

Parent's Claiming a Minor's Account

  • You can only claim ONE child per Pageant Planet account, you will need to create an account for each child. And, each account will need different email addresses. 

  • When claiming your child's account, if you already have an account, log in. If not, sign up by filling out the necessary contestants  information.
  • When claiming a profile, make sure the Pageant Planet account is created under the contestant’s name. Double-check that all the details you enter reflect the contestant’s correct information so the profile can be properly verified.

Cautionary Notes

  • Do not create another contestant profile if you have already claimed one. Wait for 24 hours for approval or decline.

  • If declined, reasons will be provided for editing the existing profile details. 

  • If you manage a contestant profile (i.e. Sally Smith), you will need to create another login with a different email to claim a different contestant (i.e. Tracie Smith) 

Tips for Efficiency

  • Wait for approval before making any further changes to the profile.

  • Follow the steps carefully to avoid errors and delays in the claiming process.
